It is a high-energy fitness class that combines dance and fitness moves in an effort to make exercise fun and enjoyable. The moves are designed to increase cardiovascular endurance and muscle strength, as well as improve coordination and balance. Pop Pilates is an intense, full-body exercise routine developed by certified fitness instructor Cassey Ho. Similar to traditional Pilates, Pop Pilates emphasizes the use of core muscles to develop strength and flexibility. However, the exercises are performed in a rapid-fire, dance-like sequence to upbeat music. The program is designed to improve endurance, balance, coordination, and posture while providing a high-energy, low-impact workout. Pop Pilates typically lasts between 30-60 minutes and can be done at home or in a gym. The routine can be modified to suit any fitness level, so it’s suitable for both beginners and experienced exercisers. Common exercises include push-ups, planks, crunches, leg lifts, and squats.
